Christmas 2011 was non-traditional in every way. First of all, money was extremely tight and we didn't even know if we were going to be able to provide Christmas gifts for the kids. So right off the bat we were pretty bummed about Christmas. But, we tried to stay cheerful and hopeful. Steve picked up some over time, so with that and the help of a couple of dear friends, we were able to buy Christmas presents. Second of all, Steve had to work the entire weekend so we were going to have to wait until Monday to celebrate.....good thing my kids don't believe in Santa. To top it all off, the entire family got the flu. It started with me (Jennae) puking all Saturday morning. Then E-Man came into my room throwing up that same day. He and I were puke buddies that morning. We started feeling better by the afternoon so we got dressed and headed to Anderson for Christmas Eve dinner with the Lakey family (my mom's side of the family) .Then Hail Storm started in Saturday night....in the car of all places. Not fun at all. Sunday was a day of relaxation as we all tried to recoup from sickness. Monday morning rolled around, we had our traditional breakfast of cinnamon rolls, read the Christmas story from the Bible and then opened presents. It was a great day.....then evening rolled around and Peanut started getting sick. She was up all night which meant it was only a matter of time before Steve got it....and sure enough he did on Tuesday. Needless to say, we are all glad that is over with. Below are some pictures from Christmas.
